Make Time & Drying Process:
Each piece is one of a kind made from pressed flowers. Flower preservation is an
extensive process with many steps that must be done in a time frame that is subjective to the specific flower’s attributes. Our make time begins from the moment we receive your flowers in the mail and on average take 3 to 4 months to be completed and return shipped to you. Please keep in mind that all flowers have their own unique dry times and personalities in resin.
Bubbles & Color Change:
Please be aware we cannot control bubbles or imperfections that appear in the resin after the preservation is completed. We do our absolute best to mitigate any defects that may occur but, we gently remind you that each piece is a handcrafted work of art. Variations in resin and look may differ from one piece to the next.
Flowers will change color in the preservation process. This is a very natural occurrence as the flower’s quality and texture will change in the drying process. Flowers become more brittle and the hue tends to fade. For example, orange flowers may turn yellow or white flowers can become off white or yellowed. White calla lilies and lisianthus flowers will turn yellow. Some flowers like hydrangea, orchids and roses will show translucent spots once placed in resin.
Instructions of Care:
All of our pieces are made with high quality UV resistant epoxy resin, we urge you to take special care of your preservation to ensure longevity of the piece. We recommend all serving trays are stored on a flat surface, out of direct or indirect sun light, and in a cool air-conditioned environment. Resin can become malleable or yellow in heat regardless of its quality or brand.
Our serving trays are food safe at room temperature and built to withstand hot beverages in a cup such as coffee or tea. But they cannot withstand microwave or hot cookware. Our preservations are functional but should be handled with a mindful hand for longevity.
Serving trays must be hand washed and dried with a soft towel. When washing, avoid bristles or hard scrubbing as it can scratch the surface and compromise the preservation’s beauty.
Note
All items are handmade, and each piece is one of a kind. The photos are a reference to the item you will receive. We cannot control any bubbles or imperfections in the resin or flowers after preservation. Flowers do not maintain their original color or texture when they are preserved. They become brittle and can change color once placed in resin. Red flowers will become darker burgundy, orange flowers may turn more yellow and some white flowers become translucent. We do our best to mitigate imperfections with our expertise.
Care
Hand wash with dish soap and water, dry with a soft microfiber towel. Avoid brush bristles as they may scratch the surface.
Serving Trays are food safe at room temperature and designed to withstand heat of a cup of tea or coffee but NOT hot cookware or microwave. Do not place this item in the dishwasher as it may become dull or warped.
We use UV resistant epoxy resin; however, it is best to keep your items out of direct sunlight or extreme heat to prevent softness, yellowing or discoloration.
This is an INSIDE only item to be displayed in a cool environment to avoid any softening in the resin. We have tested many resins, and our current stock is the strongest we have tested; however we recommend that the tray is always placed and stored on a flat surface without extreme weight on it to prevent bowing.
